Gelora Muda- Komite Nasional Keselamatan Transportasi (KNKT) menyampaikan pesawat Lion Air JT 610 sempat terbang dengan kecepatan 340 knot atau 629,68 kilometer per jam sebelum jatuh.

Hal tersebut dinilai tidak masuk akal dan seharusnya, alasannya ialah tergolong sangat kencang untuk jenis pesawat tersebut.

"(Kecepatan pesawat) kencang sekali, 340 knot," ucap Ketua KNKT Soerjanto Tjahjono di Bandara Soekarno-Hatta, Cengkareng, Banten, Senin (29/10/2018).

Ia pun belum sanggup berspekulasi mengapa sang pilot meningkatkan kecepatan pesawat sedemikian rupa. sesudah melaju kencang, Pesawat tersebut sebelum hilang kontak pada ketinggian 2500 kaki.

"Lost of contact dari radar itu sekitar di ketinggian 2.500, di pukul 06.30-lah. Dari datanya (ketinggian pesawat) agak naik-turun, pas pukul 06.30-an itu pas sedang ke bawah," kata Soerjanto. 

Hal janggal lainnya yaitu, Sang pilot juga sempat meminta untuk return to base atau kembali ke bandara 2 menit setelah take off. Alasannya, pilot mencicipi ada hal yang harus membuatnya kembali.

"Dua menit. Makara 2 menit mungkin pilot mencicipi ada hal yang perlu beliau kembali landing dia minta izin kepada menara pengawas untuk melaksanakan pendaratan kembali ke Cengkareng," kata Soerjanto

Namun tiba-tiba yang terjadi, Pesawat malah melaju terus dan tak jadi kembali dengan terbang ke arah timur. dan itu sah-sah saja menurutnya.

Pihak KNKT sendiri belum sanggup terlalu banyak menyimpulkan penyebab kejadian tersebut. sampai dikala ini petugas masih berupaya mencari korban dan kotak hitam atau black box pesawat tersebut.

Lion Air JT 610 berangkat dari Bandara Soekarno-Hatta sekitar pukul 06.20 WIB. Pesawat hilang kontak pada pukul 06.33 WIB dan kemudian dinyatakan jatuh di perairan Karawang, Jawa Barat.

Pesawat Lion JT 610 dengan tujuan Bandara Depati Amir, Pangkalpinang, itu mengangkut 189 orang. Ada sejumlah puing, serpihan tubuh, dan barang yang ditemukan mengapung di sekitar lokasi pesawat diprediksi jatuh. Semua yang ditemukan tersebut telah dievakuasi. Pencarian bakal dilakukan selama 24 jam tanpa henti.
