 Kemiskinan menjadi penyebab utama kesulitan dalam melaksanakan pendidikan. Terkadang ada orang bau tanah yang lebih menentukan untuk membelanjakan uangnya untuk masakan ketimbang membiayai anak-anaknya sekolah.

Namun kisah inspirarif terdapat pada seorang anak yang mengatakan kemiskinan bukan jadi halangan untuk rajin belajar. Brian Parantar, laki-laki Filipina ini melalui akun Facebooknya menceritakan pengalamannya bertemu dengan seorang bocah yang berguru di bawah lampu jalan.

Dalam goresan pena serta foto diunggah, Brian menyatakan ketika menuju Romandiyas di Calinan, kota Davao. Dia melihat seorang bocah duduk sendiri sembari membuka beberapa buku dengan diterangi lampu jalan.Lebih lanjut, Brian menuliskan kalau bocah tersebut terpaksa berguru di pinggir jalan untuk sanggup mendapat penerangan.

Pasalnya, bila di rumah, bocah yang duduk di kelas 2 SD tersebut tak sanggup berguru dengan nyaman alasannya yakni tak ada pedoman listrik. Kemiskinan menciptakan keluarganya tak sanggup mendapat listrik. Namun beliau tetap berjuang untuk berguru dengan giat.

Brian berharap agar kisah bocah yang ditemuinya menjadi referensi bagi belum dewasa bila pendidikan yakni sesuatu yang berharga dari apapun di dunia ini.
